The Bureau of Adult Education is committed to providing quality professional development activities for adult educators in New Hampshire. Staff members in programs funded by the Bureau are eligible to participate in free state-sponsored activities. They may also apply for reimbursement for practitioner-initiated activities and for course tuition. See our Policy for Tuition Support.

PARTICIPATION IN STATE SPONSORED ACTIVITIES

Each year the Staff Development Office organizes several free conferences and workshops for adult educators. See the annual calendar for dates. These activities are designed to meet the needs of those working in the field as well as to keep practitioners abreast of new and developing theories, techniques and methodologies for working with adults. Highlights include…

  • The Fall Conference for Adult Educators
  • The workshops for New Staff
  • The Spring Adult Education Conference (traditionally at Waterville Valley)
  • ESOL Sharing Groups

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

New Hampshire adult educators may also apply to develop mini-grant projects and to work on the ESOL certificate (both NH Initiatives).
