Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with adults and/or highly at-risk students
- New Hampshire Certification in an area of Education
Specific Core Function:
Provide leadership and oversight for the operations, vision, strategic planning, and implementation of a year-round, competency-based Adult Education program.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Facilitate policies and procedures of the Adult Diploma Program as required by the Bureau of Adult Education and the local school district
- Serve as the contact person for the Bureau of Adult Education
- Facilitate the daily operation and administration of the program as described in the Adult Diploma Program grant
- Maintain the Adult Education Grant
- Working knowledge of IEPs, ESLs, 504 Plans, and Ed 700
- Attend New Program Directors Boot Camp (within one year of hire), the quarterly Program Director meetings, and any other meetings required by the Bureau of Adult Education
- Collaborate with Partners (other ADPs, My Turn, Second Start, and the NH DOE Bureau of Adult Education) on program development
- Coordinate with other local adult education programs to ensure a smooth transition of students to the Adult Education Program
- Provide a positive learning environment conducive to student education and aligned with the school district’s and the NH DOE Bureau of Adult Education’s visions
- Purchase program supplies, equipment, and educational materials, and maintain inventory, including the “tagging” of equipment purchased with State funds
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, supervision and evaluation of program staff
- Schedule students’ academic classes
- Advise students in vocational/academic issues
- Assist in finding jobs for students
- Complete all program reporting as required – State reporting using LACES, enrollment, transcripts, attendance, student status confirmation, program statistics; administer program budget, student appeals, and Progress Reports/Updates
- Monitor program performance efforts towards continuous improvement and meeting program goals
- Ensure all students are continually programmed correctly in light of their needs and abilities and their progress is documented
- Oversee the implementation of the courses provided through Edmentum and the Alternative Credit Options
- Oversee the development of the Alternative Credit Options
- Responsible for utilizing the SAU’s budget request system, NH Grant System, and working with the District Finance Office

This is a 228 day contract with 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
